The Paul Hamlyn Foundation

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation
 A recent award from The Paul Hamlyn Foundation will enable 20 projects to take place in a range of schools throughout the UK over the next two years.  The Paul Hamlyn Foundation is a large independent grant-making foundation in the UK.

Aberdeenshire Council

Aberdeenshire Council
The Youth Music Initiative, funded by the Scottish Executive Board provided funding for Aberdeenshire Council to commission six Sonic Postcards projects across the region. As a result of the success of these projects, we are in the process of running projects in another 20 schools, coordinated by Aberdeenshire council, during the academic year 2005/6.

Youth Music

Youth Music
A recent award from Youth Music will enable a total of 9 Pupil Referral Unit projects to take place in Cumbria, Yorkshire and Surrey throughout this year. Youth Music is a UK-wide charity set up in 1999 to provide high quality and diverse music-making opportunities for 0-18 year olds. It targets young people living in areas of social and economic need who might otherwise lack opportunity and predominantly supports activities which are held outside school hours.

NESTA

NESTA
The National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts is a non-departmental public body (NDPB) investing in innovators and working to improve the climate for creativity in the UK. With NESTA's support, we were able to deliver Sonic Postcards projects in 52 schools throughout our first year of activity.

Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival

Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival
Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival is the UK's most exciting festival of new music. Taking place in November each year, hcmf presents some 50 events over 10 days, including: jazz, classical, electronic and improvised music; music theatre; film and multimedia events; installations; free workshops; 'drop-in' events and a diverse education and outreach programme. Hcmf attracts composers, performers and an audience from across the UK and around the world.

Cornerhouse

Cornerhouse
Cornerhouse is Greater Manchester's international centre for contemporary visual arts and cinema.  Since opening in 1985 it has achieved an international reputation for artistic excellence and innovation. With three cinemas, three galleries, bookshop, bar and caf�Cornerhouse is a key cultural and social centre for Manchester and the North West. The education programme stands at the heart of Cornerhouse's activities for both film and the visual arts, and Cornerhouse has a dedicated education department.

RSPB

RSPB
The RSPB is the UK charity working to secure a healthy environment for birds and wildlife, helping to create a better world for us all. With their support, we have been able to use local nature reserves near Glastonbury in Somerset and now Hayle in Cornwall for collecting sonic field material.

Creative Partnerships

Creative Partnerships
Creative Partnerships provides school children across England with the opportunity to develop creativity in learning and to take part in cultural activities of the highest quality. Through their support, we were able to carry out four pilot projects in Slough and are continuing to develop new collaborations with Creative Partnerships throughout the UK.

Scottish Natural Heritage
Their task is to secure the conservation and enhancement of Scotland's unique and precious natural heritage - the wildlife, the habitats and the landscapes which have evolved in Scotland through the long partnership between people and nature.

The Sage Gateshead
The Sage Gateshead is a new home for music, bringing about a widespread and long-term enrichment of music in the North of England. Through their support we were able to run two projects; in a Special school and a Secondary school.
