This was a brilliant project with an enthusiastic teacher and an amazing class of sonically-aware young people. Facilitated by Nicolas Grew, the sessions allowed the students to experiment with some very unusual instruments, try their hand at 'drawing' sounds, and record loads of unusual sounds from around school and the local area of Crownhill. As well as some obvious recordings, there were also some unusual clips: singing, humming and some very loud recordings of the school bell. The pupils presented their finished Sonic Postcard and photos at an assembly in front of the whole school!
