Working with 20 Year 9 pupils, workshop leader Rob Worby and fine artist Reza Ben Gajra enabled these young people to explore the sounds and sights of London. Walking from Lambeth Bridge to Waterloo Bridge for their field trip, the young people interviewed tourists, drew images of London landmarks, and recorded environmental sounds. Working with frames, Reza enabled the young people to focus their visual skills whist Rob guided the young people through listening exercises to capture the unique sounds they heard. Run in association with the Hayward Gallery, the pupils also visited ‘The Universal Tourist’ exhibition to find inspiration for their final presentation. From the drawings and descriptions captured during the fieldtrip, the pupils created their very own London skyline which was displayed at a fantastic school presentation!
