Explore Sonic Postcard World

Barrow Island Community Primary School -

Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, LA14 2SJ

School Year:2004-2005
Date:1 July 2005

Working with Year 6 pupils over the course of three days, workshop leader Shaun Blezard and visual artist John Hall allowed these pupils to explore and experience the sights and sounds of Grizedale National Park - a beautiful forest in the heart of Cumbria! The forest is filled with sculptures and instruments made out of wood which echo throughout the forest. The Sonic Postcard created really encapsulates the essence of the forest and the fun these pupils had! This project along with the Barrow Island Year 5 project and Lindal and Marton project were displayed in a fantastic weekend exhibition at the local Art Gene gallery in Barrow-in-Furness. Visit the press section to find out more!
