Students in two classes at Markethill School took part in the Sonic Postcards Project. P5-6 worked with Pippa Murphy and Amy Sutherland to collect sounds from Delgatie Castle. Mrs Johnson took the students all around the castle and provided lots of interesting anecdotes and stories about the ghosts which haunt certain areas! P6 worked with Pippa Murphy and Paul Tierney and they went to the Aquarium and around Macduff to collect their sounds. In addition, both classes created some fantastic and atmospheric sound poetry which features in some of the Sonic Postcards. Both classes worked really hard on the project and the results are incredibly detailed, well-recorded and really capture the sonic locations around Turriff!
