Working in partnership with the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, this class worked with workshop leader Duncan Chapman to produce fantastic Sonic Postcards. They visited the nearby Beaumont Park to record sounds and used them to compose their own Postcards. They also worked on making up words to describe sounds they heard and created sound maps which you can see in the images below. The group Sonic Postcard was played at the festival as part of the Hub Shorts where the pupils performed alongside the postcard by playing leaves and twigs and vocalising the made up words.
