This international project is focusing on exchange of skills as well as sound. Workshop leader Helena Gough delivered two brilliant projects in CEIP Dolors Monserdā Santapau, Barcelona, alongside the school's fantastic English teacher, Elisabet Gonzalez.  The school is situated in a beautiful part of Barcelona above the main city in the hills, and is very different from the village primary school it is partnered with in Britain; Millfield CP School in Lincolnshire.  The pupils decided that they wanted to capture sounds from around their school, so the local shops, train stations, cafes and La Ronda all got a visit from a group of microphone weilding pupils!  For these projects the pupils' English was so good that a translator wasn't needed.  Consequently lots of the sonic postcards contain English speaking from the pupils.  They also created and wrote their own visual postcards in response to those that had been sent to them from Lincolnshire.  Ruth Hunter, a teacher from Millfield C.P. School in Lincolnshire will spend a few days working with the Elisabet Gonzalez in Barcelona, who will in turn spend some time in Britain.  Helena Gough will go back to Millfield C.P. School to open the parcel that has been sent from Barcelona and create some work to send back!  Visit the work from Barcelona in the Sonic Postcards World or click here to be directed to the non-Flash version www.sonicpostcards.org/postcards/146
